The Italian Chapter of the SSAT was launched in 2021. Dr. Guido Torzilli was named the inaugural President of the SSAT Italian Chapter.

This webinar aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the latest advancements and techniques in minimally invasive surgery for esophagogastric cancer, exploring the debate between robotic assisted and traditional minimally invasive surgery. The focus will be on esophagectomy and gastrectomy for cancer, with the main experts on this field exploring the debate on anastomotic techniques and lymph-node dissection. Speakers will discuss the pros and contra of both techniques with video sessions highlighting the technical details on each procedure.
The main focus will be on the learning curve and training of residents and young surgeons on this highly demanding surgical techniques but will also provide tips and tricks useful for experienced surgeons.
The webinar agenda will include 5 talks with video sessions followed by a discussion with a panel of expert in the field.
